Technician – Tools Management Center (TMC

Job Purpose- The Technician will be responsible for repair, maintenance, servicing, testing, and calibration of scaffoldless installation tools and field tools used for elevator installation. This role ensures tools are in safe, certified, and ready-to-use condition before dispatch to field teams.

Key Responsibilities – Perform routine inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of mechanical and electro-mechanical tools. – Carry out calibration, performance checks, and load testing as per standard operating procedures. – Conduct inward inspection and create diagnostic reports for tools received from branches/project sites. – Ensure spare parts identification, requisition, and replacement during repair activities. – Maintain accurate documentation and update service logs, repair history, and tool tracking records in the system/app. – Support packing, handling, and dispatch of tools post servicing. – Adhere to safety guidelines, quality standards, and housekeeping practices inside the TMC. – Work closely with TMC Supervisor for planning workload and meeting service turnaround time (TAT)

Key Skills & Competencies – Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. – Ability to identify faults and perform structured troubleshooting. – Familiarity with workshop tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment. – Basic computer skills for reporting and data entry. – Strong focus on safety, quality, and discipline. – Good teamwork and communication skills.

Required Qualifications & Experience – ITI (Mechanical / Electrical / Fitter / Tool & Die / Mechatronics) Minimum 1-2 years in maintenance/repair workshop, equipment service center, or field service role – Preferred: Fresh ITI candidates with strong learning mindset may also be considered.

Work Environment – Workshop-based job with occasional support to field locations if required. – PPE adherence is mandatory. – Training will be provided in-house.
