Job Description
Job Purpose
To run the Tire Plant Utility operation and maintenance (without affecting the tire production and quality by Supervising, Training and Guiding the Managers and Engineers reporting directly or indirectly.
Duties and Responsibilities
o Daily Utility Efficiency review for below specification
- Specific Steam
Consumption < 2.1 kg/ Kg of tire production
- Specific Water Consumption < 3.2 M3/ Ton
of tire production
- Utility rating
>99.5
o
Daily process and
project review with subordinate at different work location for Jobs follow up,
support required and guidance.
o Ensure the availability
and usage of PPEs
o Create safety awareness
among the employees and shift officers by safety awareness sessions.
o Improvement activities to
be driven in terms of safety aspect.
o
Follow-up for
maintaining Utility parameters, Preventive, Corrective and shutdown
Maintenance, 5 S, Kaizens, KPI, safety permit system, on job training
activities.
o
Maintaining ISO, EMS
and OHSAS as per system.
o
Follow up and maintain
Energy Management and Sustainability system.
o
He should lead a team
of Technician to achieve organizational objectives.
o
He should be well
conversant with preventive maintenance and condition monitoring techniques to
reduce breakdown & down time.
o
Exposure in Tire
building, Tire curing, Rubber mixing equipment, engineering materials and
rotating equipment: - pumps, blowers, compressors, dryers & conveyors is
required.
o
He should have system
oriented approach and willing to continuously improving upon plant uptime,
reliability, cost and safety performance.
o He should have exposure on systems for manufacturing excellence, SAP, ISO,5S, etc.
Qualifications
Education: - Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Skill & Experience
o Should be able to manage working team and
resources.
o Decision making ability in emergencies.
o Achieve planned PLF and plant running efficiency

o Divisional interaction with team
o Plant review meeting interaction
o Interaction with Purchase team for spares and
services.
o Interaction with Internal vendors for one off job. Interaction with outside local vendors.
